Stefania Tallini to open the DiVino Jazz Festival
The first artist to perform at the DiVino Jazz Festival – this year at its 5th edition, will be pianist Stefania Tallini, with Marco Loddo on double bass and Alessandro Marzi on drums.
Stefania Tallini, who is also a composer and arranger, is widely recognised as one of Italy’s most interesting and original jazz artists.
In Torre del Greco she will present her latest work “Maresìa”, that has just been released by Alfamusic and recorded in a quartet with the great clarinettist Gabriele Mirabassi. This work highlights the pianist’s original music world, which has grown into a unique style that the excellent musicians accompanying her interpret to perfection.
On this particular occasion, the pianist will present her new release with her trio who (Marco Loddo on double bass and Alessandro Marzi on drums) make one of the most brilliant rhythmics of Italian jazz. A top level trio then, confirming the artist’s constant artistic evolution built on her research on melody and the harmonic, rhythmic and contrapuntal possibilities that can be developed in jazz, in an definitely unusual direction. The result of this process is a fresh, lively music, with nuances ranging from strong and energetic ones to delicate atmospheres filled with a melancholic tenderness.
