The festival
The Vico Equense Jazz Festival is at its eight edition this year, confirming its role as one of the most anticipated events in this town on the Sorrento coast. Beside promoting jazz on the national and international scale, over the past few years the event has also worked to set up cultural and tourist itineraries around the beautiful historical and environmental sites in the area, which give a characteristic 'mark' to the event taking place at the peak of the summer season. An attraction for jazz lovers, but also for the many tourists staying in the area at this time of year.

Vico Jazz has reached its eighth edition this year, with the important goal of confirming an interesting, high quality event. Since its first edition, the stage set inside the XVII-century cloister of the SS. Trinità has hosted internationally known artists like Tania Maria, Franco Ambrosetti, Roy Hardgrove (2002) Tom Harrell, Benny Green and Russell Malone (2003), Diane Schuur, Terence Blanchard (2004), Enrico Rava, Brian Blade (2005), Chris Potter (2006), Ron Carter, Eddie Gomez, (2007). This year’s edition will take place from 17 to 20 July in the traditional setting of Chiostro della Trinità.
